Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Pound plants

Hi, I have put a very small (tiny) pond in my garden for the wildlife and want to put a couple of plants in it. My rabbits have free run of the garden and will be able to reach the plants. Does anyone know of any pond plants that are safe for rabbits. I have been able to find information on all the garden plants and know I have put only safe ones in but cannot find any information on pond plant. Thank you jules

Hi welcome to the forum  I'm sorry I don't have a pond, so am not familiar with suitable plants. Have you had a look on the RWAF website (rabbit welfare) they have lists of poisonous plants, so that might be helpful, if you are not able to make the pond "out of bounds" to bunnies. I'm sure someone else will be along that might be able to help you.
