Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Wise Old Thumper
hi there i have 6 x 7 week old rabbits born to my doe, my question is are they able to run i the garden in this weather at their age.i dont let them out much because i dont know if its ok! i put them in the run with lots of straw whilst i clean there hutch but then put them back in the shed (which they have the run of when i am done? does anyone know? please help!!

i once had a litter born on ths coldest nite of the year and survived well, but grass at this time of year isnt really that good for the young and if there not used to it u could give them bloat, also moving them backwards and forwards from pen to hutch can cause stress, and learnt that the hard way  , but i would start then off gentally first then build on that, so wait a coulpe of weeks before moving them around too much, im sure others have different advice but this advice is on what experince iv had with my litters
