Rabbit holiday sitting in West London

cbramley2

Hi,

I've recently moved house to Putney (west london) and am looking for a place to board my beautiful rabbit Nellie for a week for a holiday in February.

There are numerous websites focused on cats/dogs but they barely mention "Rabbits" and just lump them under "small animals" which doesn't fill me with confidence! Does anybody know of somewhere which may be suitable?

I've currently found the following places, but they are a little far away as i don't have a car.:

http://www.londonsmallanimalboarding.co.uk/rabbits.html
https://www.therodentranch.co.uk/rabbit-boarding
http://www.chiswickpets.co.uk/boarding/boarding.html

Any help would be appreciated

I personally know a woman who volunteers and fosters rabbits for Animal Rescue and Care Twickenham, who lives in Richmond who house visits when people go on holiday, not sure she boards though. I can pass on her mobile phone by message if you are interested. She may know a reputable place that does.

I cant help with Boarding, but you will need to make sure that Nellie is fully vaccinated ,details here http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/showthread.php?472636-Vaccinations-2019&p=7041560#post7041560 before she goes into boarding. Also, personally I would not opt to Board my Rabbit at an establishment that did not insist on this or one that used grass based runs for exercise time.

Good luck with your search, hopefully ARC can help x

Hi there,

I’ve been through a similar issue, as I live in Streatham Hill and we don’t have a car. We have contact details for someone at ARC, who boards rabbits outside, I think this is the same person that BYB is referring to. I’m sure she’d be very good, she just wasn’t available when we went away last year.

When we went to Canada last year we used someone in Wood Green, and she had indoor facilities. Both my buns are indoors- so I preferred this. Completely agree with Jack’s Jane- boarding establishments must ask for proof of vaccination, and I wouldn’t want my buns to run outdoors on grass. I’d also have a look at a place, if you can, before boarding. I viewed 3 places before I found somewhere suitable.

Is your bun indoors- as PM me if you want details of the Wood Green person. Otherwise I could suggest something else 😀

I am in Camberley Surrey, we also offer a pick up and drop off service if needed. I board alot of bunnies from ARC rescue and more. Feel free to come and see the hotel. Hug a bunny hotel x
