Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hello,Rosemary has been in for her op today, she caame home at 4 o'clock and was rather quiet. She looked all ok though. She is going back in on monday for a check up and then in the new year to have her stiches removed.
Basil is fine, just being himself and enjoying the easy life!

Aaww, well done Rosemary and well done to you too :thumb:

Hope Basil is still enjoying his rest from rosemary's lusty advance's. they will soon be back together and upto mischief :D

They havent been that well behaved as the pic suggests!!! she has been senting every bit of floor and mounting every part of basil when they have been together, so they have had a week or so apart! we will have to introduce them gain next week and hopefuly she will be "fixed" like basil is! then there should be more cute pics of them together!
Thanks everyone :)

Been with rosemary now and even though she has had two very long drinks she is only eating hay and straw, she hasnt even looked twice at the pellets, which she usualy eats as soon as the bowl comes near the hutch! or she hasnt pooed yet either? how long does it take for them to get back to start eating and pooing again? basil only took about 1hour or so once we got him home. I know the female op is bigger but just wondering?

Sorry I can't offer any advice but I know lots on here have gone through the same thing and will help you.

Still love their teeny feet '' ''
