Help with Bunny behavior

Hi,

I have a 1-year old male lop bunny that has been expressing unusual behaviors for several weeks. Since indirect exposure to his first litter, he has become very territorial. The 10-week old babies play near his cage while he is locked inside BUT every time we let him out alone (we do not let the babies and the father play together just yet), he constantly sprays my brother during every encounter and all surrounding objects as well as bites all my female family members on the ankles which is highly unusual for him as he is typically a very friendly playful bunny. He has also been digging a lot the past 2 weeks. We very recently got him neutered to diminish these aggressive behaviors but noticed a new behavior he has never done before. He rapidly wagged his tail side to side and unfortunately continues to bite. Can you tell me what is going on with him or what I can do to improve his behavior?

Any and all advice will be helpful. Thank you!

After neuter it may take a couple months before his hormones diminish. Also, during this time, he may still be fertile enough to sire another litter with your female.

I hope your female and the babies are all doing well. How many babies did she have?

bunny momma is correct. Also, you will need to make sure you separate the kits into Male/Female groups in the next couple of weeks.

Jane is correct about separating the babies. She also gave you a lot of wonderful advice.

Nine babies must have keep their mom very busy. May they all continue to do well.
