Gaps in the market

joey&boo

Wise Old Thumper
Do you often wish certain things were available for our bunnies?

These are gaps in the market I would like covering

1) bespoke UK holiday accommodation so bunnies can always come with

2 ) things needed for bonding that you wouldn't really have use for after available to rent. thinking enclosures, full arm length gloves, bunny muzzles & boxing gloves

3) Massive lightweight floor coverings that can be easily washed, look good but have enough depth for bunnies to sink their toes in

Any bun got any to add?

I agree

I have been thinking of a dried and hollow strawberry or banana flavour casing that you can squirt metacam and drugs inside for difficult bunnies

A type of clothing that repelled fur so when they're moulting you can pick the bunnies up and not look part bunny part human.

Been there, done that. Doesn't work, sorry :p At least not with fresh fruit (e.g raspberries). I doubt dried would be any better, their sense of smell is just too good.
If you're lucky it might work once.
It won't work the second time.

+ 1 for the bunny bonding muzzles
Can I also add chainmail elbow-length gloves (something like what they use in falconry but heavier duty) for use for nail trims/meds of extremely difficult bunnies who don't like being picked up
Yes Snowflake, I'm looking at you.

Edit: Oh, I've just realised you probably mean some kind of capsule-like thing. I was thinking like a dried raspberry that's hollow etc.
Still don't think it'll work though, it's their sense of smell-!

Pet sitters who actually specialise in rabbits or even rabbit specialist house sitters. Plenty of dog and cat sitters out there but not people who actually understand rabbit care.

Yes, this would be amazing. Someone that understood about behaviour, health & needs - who could inject your bunnies with penicillin, burrito them or trim their spikey claws

Yes: I need this when I take mine to the vet! They stress-floof everywhere and it's AWFUL XD

I was surprised Lopsy didn't notice baytril soaked into a fenugreek crunchie, but I'm not complaining! He can smell banana as soon as it's out the back door, regardless of wind direction :S

Air taxis for taking pets on holiday (air taxis used to really be a thing, wish the still were so they were cheaper!).

Second (third, fourth) the bunny-savvy sitters. I'm lucky I've got fellow bunny people nearby but when they're away it'd be nice to have some peace of mind.

Some kind of bunny-holding thing that actually works on bunnies who are too strong to be burritoed. Lopsy is too fast and too strong to be burritoed and there's bound to be times I could do with the bunny equivalent of a cattle crush!

A great thread! :thumb: :D
I would say more rabbit products especially for the giant breeds. Either far too small, too small a selection or things get trashed in a milli-second! x

Diva resistant food bowls. I have a family size, pottery, heavy casserole dish for Dillons pellets and he can still sling it about!

Something that traps hay as bunnies come out of their house.

I agree on the bunny sitter, they feel so few and far between! I've been struggling, thankfully a friend is around to help but I would have been unsure of what to do otherwise.

I wish I could do it, but I couldn't insure myself yet :(
