Is this normal????

This has been going on since we got more then one rabbit. I figured since you all know so much about rabbits you all could tell me.... All my male bunnies will attempt to reproduce with each other. I can't put any of my male bunnies down to interact with each other without someone sitting on the floor to play referee!
Yesterday my daughter had her friends over to see the new babies. Naturally they all wanted to play with the rabbits (older ones). They stepped away for a minute to get something to drink when I came around the corner to see them all "sandwiched" together humping away! I almost died! It didnt help that one of my daughter friends grabbed my camera to take a picture of it!
I really want them all to interact but NOT like that. I know that getting then neutered will help ( trying to find a qualified vet to do it) but will it stop it?! Is there anything I can do for the time being?

Thanks
Nicole

They are trying to work out the pecking order so to speak, if they aren't fighting, just mock humping let them get on with it for a while eventually one will be crowned overall boss and they will probably get along quite well until a whiff of female. If they actually fight then you will need to keep them seperate untill you get them neutered.

Besides the "movements" they actually.......finish :) The more they finish their goal the more active they become. Needless to say...all the male bunnies then need a bath!

All I can say is ugh - poor you having to wash them!!

I am not quite sure on this front, have they shown any signs of stopping or do they just do it over and over again?

I'm surprised thats all they are doing and not fighting! Unneutered males do hump alot... other buns, peoples feet, slippers, teddies etc. the only way to stop it is neutering. If you get them neutered they'll also be able (after 6 weeks) to interacts with the females without the problem of pregnacy, it also prevents accidents happening when a bun escapes into anothers pen or the kids accidently put the wrong bun in the wrong hutch.

Yeah, the males have never fought. The first sign I have ever seen of an aggresive rabbit is with Oreoelle and thats just since she has had her babies. The males, they just hop around with each other until one starts mounting.....then they all do and dont stop!

They will do it over and over and over till all are covered in "you know what" and they lay exhausted till one gets its "second wind" and then the all start over again.
I know this sounds horrible but when we got sapphire and mystik, sapphire was the only one who would act this way. We thought maybe once he ( well, you know!) he would stop...like human males  But no...didnt work that way! Then Mystik joined in..then maple...now its just a bunny humping ol'time! :)

Normal?? Disturbing is more like it lol
