The world's oldest rabbit?

Hi Jason

I don't know who Emma is, but certainly a rabbit of 18 years is almost a miracle :)
It really would :)

Apparently rexes aren't meant to live that long, that's just what Google says though.. Still makes me sad that they're quoted only to live til 6 :(

I was looking at giant buns too, forgot the exact one but they said 4 years roughly :(

Jane, do you remember a member named Emma and 18 yr. old rabbit?

and since Toby is 17 yr. old, how on earth did Liz Rench manage to have her bun to Guiness at age 16?

Toby was Emma's Bunny Jason. He was not quite 18 when he passed I dont think. I am not sure that she even tried to get him into the GBR. I think it was something to do with not having documented evidence of his year of birth, but I may be wrong on that.

Miss Bunny Penny (Ermine Standard Rex) lived to be 13

I've found statistics are almost meaningless and it's in the genes.
My rabbit wasn't meant to live beyond 6 years old apparently but she lived to 15

wait, you & Emma so happens to be using the same vet? what are the odds eh

Given that we both lived relatively near each other it's not a surprise !! This is going back quite a few years now though, she may now live in another Country ! She wanted my Vet to see Toby as she knew my Vet is very 'Rabbit Savvy', although not an Exotics Specialist :)
