What is the best probiotic?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good probiotic for Evo? The vet & I decided that it would make sense for Evo to be on probiotics longterm, to try & keep his tummy problems under control. At the moment, he is having "Bio-Lapis", which he really likes, but is working out a bit expensive at nearly £4 for 5 day's worth. Ideally, I'd like something in a tub that would last a big longer.

I bought some "Bioplus" probiotic, but have since only found it to be mentioned for use with parrots, so am a bit scared to try it. Have also seen online Protexin soluble for all animals (here http://www.penstone-petstore.co.uk/...tore_Intestinal_Products_257.html&CatalogBody ) which is made by the same people as the Bio-lapis. A slightly smaller tub would be nice though. £50 in one hit is a bit much for me!

Any advice, and links of where to buy, would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Laura

Hiya AVIPRO brought direct from VetArk (look at their web site..pop Vetark into Goggle ) is excellent, and works out much cheaper than buying from the Vets.
Avipro is the best probiotic we have used to date, and we have tried several.
Hope this helps

Yup, Rob is on Avipro long term aswell - a tub of this lasts for ages (still on my first). Should all buns go on this - assuming it could only do good and wouldn't be harmful - not currently giving it to Molly, but wondering if I should :?
