Any spare vibes for Lillian please.

O/h just rang in a bit of a state. She's at home and left both doors open to let Henry and Lillian outside as it's such a nice day. The open doors meant the buns could come in and out as they wished without any problem.
Henry suddenly comes flying into the living room at full sprint. O/h thought that was odd and went out into garden to investigate. Lillian is sitting by the fish pond looking very startled and clearly frightened. Then from behind my o/h comes this massive black cat. O/h made a lot of noise and chased the cat up our garden and it kept over the fence and into someone else's garden. O/h went to see Lillian who is now limping badly- according to o/h. Same left front paw as Henry injured 5 weeks ago. Clearly Lillian has been attacked by this beast and she is now cowering under the living room table next to Henry who is also rattled.
I don't know what happened, neither does the o/h but clearly there has been some element of an attack.
As Lillian is such a challenge to pick up anyway, I've told o/h not to try and pick her up as might do more harm. There's no immediate sign of blood or external injury- just a limp at this stage.
O/h just updated me and seems Lillian not hobbling as bad but licking left hand hip area. She will monitor Lillian this afternoon and check for any shock or signs of injury.
Vet is booked for 6pm tonight and I'll update the thread from that visit.
I am so angry and upset and the issue of cats coming into my garden is always a sensitive one for me. My rabbits don't go into other people's gardens looking to kill their pets but it's seemingly ok for someone's cat to come in my garden and attack my pets.
Lillian would appreciate any spare vibes please.
Thank you all.

Oh Craig :( poor Lillian :'( sending a million vibes for her, I really hope she's okay xx

Poor Lillian :( Sending loads of vibes for her vet appointment this evening. I hope there is nothing serious.

Thank you both for your vibes.
O/h just txt to say Lillian off to food bowl to have some nomms. Might be a few treats in with the food. Lillian appears to be moving ok. Think it's still best to do a precautionary vet check but it will stress Lillian out massively.

Loads of vibes for Lillian, You & OH xx Henry too

Something I learnt last week when Joey bit Rudey. We got Rudey to the vet within an hour. The vet said accessing treatment within a four hour window is strongly advised. Cos Rudey got his wound cleaned & sealed wiyhin that time he didn't need anti biotics. Its just a thought, maybe you could call your vet (not receptionist) & check this out

I understand your POV entirely Craig.

I hope Lillian is OK and the vet visit goes well xx

Thnak you everyone - thank you from my heart (and Lillians).
Everything checked out ok. Lillian was given a good check over and she's got no visible injuries or wounds.
She's a big old unit at 4kg so the whole episode has come as quite a shock to me. She's not a small bun. Henry though, is, and clearly I've got some work to do with him because he hasn't grasped the concept of protecting your wife-bun. Henry was just "every one for themselves", and legged it.
Lillian is very shaken by the whole experience. She isn't a confident rabbit anyway because of her emotional issues and she can have her confidence rattled easily. And that's what has happened. She has lost a claw on her back hock - not sure how or when that happened but it's gone right at the bed so not sure if that will come back. She feels tense but she is sitting under the table in the living room and is eating. Henry on the other hand - Henry has taken himself away and is hiding out of sight in their bed-box. You can't get near him. And that is not really like Henry.
But on the plus side, his paw had healed at exactly the right time. I'll have to see if I can tempt him out later with some cranberries.
O/H said neither rabbit was interested in going out after the incident. It's really rattled them. But perhaps when they have a peaceful night and a routine they are used to, they might settle a bit more. Tomorrow as they say, is a new day.
I feel drained - not that it's about me. I guess I was used to a stable routine with Ben and Georgina and although I was cleaning Georgina's bad foot each day and dressing it, the routine was very different. And whilst I am at a point where I can deal with some elements of stress incidents, the last few weeks for me have been a bit of overload with Henry so I could do without this latest issue - which in some ways shouldn't really have occured.
I also feel very frustrated and concerned about the fact that this cat was stalking my pets in my garden. I feel quite strongly on this and my view is that my pets should have the right to safety that I supply in my own garden. They should be free from harm in my home, and they are not. So I will have to ensure I sit and supervise them whenever they are out.
Thank you all so much again for your thoughts for Lillian - I really am so very grateful to you all - and I know Lillian will say a huge thank you to you all as well.
Henry goes to the specialist on Monday for his (hopefully) last appointment but I suspect he may nead his tear duct flush. I shall update you all then, unless something else happens in the next 2 days.
Thank you all so much - Craig and Lillian xx

Dear Craig and Lillian

I'm glad Lil had a good check up and all is sounding pretty good bar the shock aspect.

In relation to that, has young Henry got any spare arnica tablets he can share with Lillian and even with his dad to help get over the incident?

Ooh - yes as a matter of fact henry does. So Craig is about to go and administer said tablets to Lillian. Wonderful advice - as always. Thank you MM xx
