Sleepless night - again....

Henry is a nethie. As you all know, Henry has had a bit of a journey the last 4 or 5 weeks and we go back to the specialist vet on Monday to update and hopefully get the nod to discharge him. And for the last 4 weeks I've been carefully trying to nurse Henry and restrict his desire to zoom and reap havoc. But the weekend was kind of nice here and I let him have some garden time. Which he loved.
But yesterday was half term and my O/H was at home all day and I got this photo texted to me about 9am. Nice! So, Henry is taking it easy!
But the thread is 'Sleepness night' - and I'll tell you why. Henry had a garden day - according to my OH. He was tearing up the garden runway full hammer. The skid marks are still on the patio from his feetsies:lol:
But here's the rub....when I got home and went to give him his cranberry laced with the nerve tablet thing, he went all sulky on me and refused. He's never refused a cranberry. He's never suspected anything and he's eaten cranberrys willingly. But last night - no. In fact, he took it and then made a deliberate point of spitting it out next to me. Utter beligerance, So I tried again and he ran off.
Hmm? This isn't right. I tried offering him some fresh juicy still dripping wet celery leaves - the juicy yellow green centre bit. Nothing. He just turned and shived his bum in my face. His whole demeanour was wrong. He just wasn't interested in food. He did a DBF and was quite happy for me to stroke him. Then he just lay down. Thsi wasn't Henry and this was about 9pm. I tried massaging his eye to see if that was playing up but no sign of goop. Looking at him, I was concerned that he had somehow gone into statis as he just wasn't interested in food. I've never known a rabbit NOT want a treat.
So I went to bed and flapped. I'd just about nodded off by 11pm when the OH came to bed and said "Henry doesn't look right to me". So I came hurtling down stairs and gave him a check over. Still no interest in food and no supper eaten.
Now, before I get critisim, I went back to bed and figured that if things hadn't changed by the time morning came, I'd drive straight to the vet and let her see what she could find.
The puzzling bit was, he was in the garden all day, no problems, roaring round and, as you can see, deciding if the new sport or Sofa jumping was a good idea or not. So he presented as being himself all day and then decided to present as not ok when I came back.
I had about 4 hours sleep and every time I nodded off, I woke up having had some dream about rabbits and/or Henry. When 5am came, I flew down stairs and was all set for getting the pet carrier out and jumping in the car - expecting the worse. But no. Henry is there snuggled up to Lillian and was suddenly interested in cranberries. I put another celery top down and he devoured that in seconds. Even the floof monster didn't get a look in.
Today, he's been in the garden again stuffing his chops with grass and tonight when I got home? Well, he's munching cranberries and small pieces of carrot and green cabbage strips.
I'll update after Monday when I've seen the vet. I still think his tear duct might need a flush because I am paranoid now about infection there. Whilst I don't wan to put him through an un-necessary flush, I think his tear duct needs one just to help with the drain. But as for yesterday?.......why do they do it? Why do they put us through the mangle, just when we don't need it. I tell you, these nethies are just scheming floof balls. I'm glad I don't drink alcohol because Henry would have got me into the AA last night....

What a little monkey!! It's a good job he is so cute! Glad he is feeling better today :)

Oh Henry laddy laddy lad. Phew. I'm so glad he's feeling berter. I wonder what was up? I dred to think how many years rabbiting has taken off our lives due to stress

Yeah- I feel about 90 right now!
I did wonder, that since the floof monster is moulting like a good un and Henry being uber keen to groom lills, might be getting some fur issues in his gut?
Any bun know if this is plausible? I mean, Lillian is shedding like bucketfuls of floof. And Henry's getting a moustache at times.
