Rabbit Insurance

I was just curious as to if anyone else has insurance plans for their rabbits? I took one out for Gus and Claude as soon as I brought them home, because I didn't want to rely on having my credit card with the balance to pay for any emergency treatment. I've used More Than for our dogs, had no issues with them paying out, even if they get very pricey (claim or no claim). For the bunnies, I went with Petplan for lack of other options, and I'm just over £12 each a month for them. I paid for life cover.

Any good alternatives to Petplan? Have you felt as if the insurance plan has paid off in your experience? I know I hope I never have to claim for the boys, but I want the safety net for them.

I have one bunny on pet plan and one on Agria. I've claimed from both insurers in the past and I would never not have insurance again. Agria Is more expensive but you have a limit of 2500 which I believe is £500 more than pet plan.

I use Petplan. Best thing I ever did. One rabbit managed to rack up £2,000 in vet bills last year alone. He had several bouts of gut stasis (usually during Out of Hours  so more expensive) then a referral to a rabbit specialist to carry out a range of tests to find out how to help him this included a scan at £800
They've been great, always paid out and promptly too

I’m with Agria for my 8 year old rabbit, thanks to Loobers for that recommendation.

And NCI for my younger rabbit (Den on this forum uses them). I think PetPlan are the best, but they were just too expensive for me with my other bills.
