Bunny room

A meshed baby gate might work so long as they don’t jump over it. The fly screens aren’t a solid barrier, the mesh is fine and the strips are made so you can part them easily with your fingers to walk through so I don’t think they would work as a barrier.

Thanks Zoobec, thinking of something like this https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9139972?cmpid=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59156%7Cacid:444-797-0832%7Ccid:189942085%7Cagid:18091972765%7Ctid:pla-96719202445%7Ccrid:77627772805%7Cnw:g%7Crnd:12425141086195579517%7Cdvc:m%7Cadp:1o1%7Cmt:%7Cloc:9046650&gclid=CjwKCAjw6-_eBRBXEiwA-5zHaTO9Z9tkXl-opRe4_WeSRZg5x9jLQPvoBy_0bw6-fODvS8Dxkj1NchoCO30QAvD_BwE with weld mesh xxx

I suspect most baby gates aren't suitable, a rabbit could get their head stuck in it.

Why not get a camera so you can spy on them instead?

baby gates are fine but you just need to modify a bit.

most have too wide of gaps that depending on the size of the bun, they can get through. but I highly doubt they would get their head stuck, unless you're dealing with giants, and then I don't think they would fit. no rabbits head as as big as the gaps on the gate.

get a baby gate and then tightly zip tie some mesh to it, or if you have any spare puppy panels just zip tie one of those.

get the largest one possible or one intended for dogs, the higher the better.

mine have never jumped it thankfully, but there is that risk. so get one thats high as possible.

I would also suggest to get some fabric and on the side opposite to the buns attach it. I've noticed some buns won't jump something if they can't see the other side, just like cats. there is too much risk. they might know that their is ground the other side, but they can't see direct as for predators so they tend not too.

anything mesh they would chew.

the argos link I can't see sadly, so I can't advise.

I prefer the door open in the buns room as it allows some air circulation. if its closed it gets rather hot or cold in there :?

We have something similar for our rabbits, but as mentioned with wire mesh attached so that they can't get through the gaps. We attached the wire mesh using zip wires (snipping off the excess length on the tie so that they don't get chewed)

those mesh screens are brilliant though. cheap as chips from B&M. i have one on the entrance to my bunnies' shed with the lowest magnet removed. keeps flies out & they can get through it no problem at all. highly recommended.

Hi mariposa,

We used a puppy panel between our doors which worked great! (Until they learnt they could rattle it and it would move!)

How is your little man? Still looking for a friend for him? Xx

Thanks all. Would definitely use weld mesh on a baby gate.
Ruthy he’s well thanks and hopefully getting married soon! Hope you and your buns are well xxx
