First CONFIRMED Case of RHD2 in the USA-Medina County, Ohio

There has only been rare cases of RHD1 in the US - back many years ago I think. So I guess it'll hopefully be the same with RHD2. Our native rabbits don't really carry the virus so it doesn't spread that way, at least. So that helps control the spread of the virus.

That'd be awful if any diseases (RHD or myxi) became prevalent over here. That'd be a lot of domestic rabbit deaths :(

I want to know why Europeans seem to be able to easily bring their pet rabbits into the US though. That's always bothered me. I mean I hope they are required to be vaccinated and to have been vaccinated, say, for a few weeks before they come into the US. Not like vaccinated 3 days before. As obviously that would mean nothing.
