I've made enquires about a friend for Willow U/D home + pics

Been in touch with a local rescue about a new friend for Willow, a 1.5kg nethie. He's had a bad start in life, poor thing. His owner decided to breed her doe and borrowed a buck. 5 days after giving birth Mum bun died and so her two babies (a boy and girl) were hand reared. However, they were then stuck in hutches and had no handling or socialisation. Bun is now 18 months old and is very fearful and can be hutch defensive. He will enjoy a fuss if you manage to get hold of him and doesn't bite, it's all fear. He's also got a congenital cataract in one eye, which is slightly smaller than the other.
I'm hoping that with lots of space and Willow's confidence he would come out of himself, will see if things are meant to be.

It sounds like you will be giving a lovely home to this needy bunny. Hope it all works out well for you and bun. xx

How lovely to give this bun a chance, he certainly sounds like he needs you. Hopefully willow will show him the way & failing that you'll still have her for the odd cuddle

This is a lovely thing to do Glingle

That is a truly beautiful and rewarding thing to do Glingle - it is people like you that warm my heart by giving less fortunate rabbits the second chance in life they truly deserve. And he will, I am sure, be spoilt, pampered and given all the love and care that he has been missing and I am sure you will get the love back from him. I absolutley love stories where rabbits who, one day suddenly find themselves in a brand new world filled with all the goodness and joy that they deserve but have been lacking. It is, in my opinion, the very best thing we can do for them and I truly hope that it all works out and he bonds with Willow. Massive applaud and respect for you and I look forward to photos.

Willow's going to go dating a week tomorrow! Stupidly excited here. I've been telling Willow all about him and that she has to be nice to him as he's not been as lucky as she has. Don't know if she was paying my attention though...

Aww, I hope it goes well. A nice bunch of mint for breafast then - gotta have fresh breathe for a date

Well, the snowy weather didn't stop Willow travelling to meet her fiancé today. She's now in capable bonding hands and hopefully by the weekend they'll be loved up.
