About finished my stock (waiting for the Fibafirst but everything else here
)
Where I get mine:
Hay: www.timothyhay.co.uk
Litter: https://www.fitchrecycling.co.uk/fi...dding/fitch-pet-bedding-single-bale-20kg.html
Fibafirst/Dried herbs/Forage: http://www.vetuk.co.uk/ - cheapest I've ever found for fibafirst, also the cheapest I've ever found for dried coneflower :thumb:
Dried forage/herbs (also good for a lot of other stuff): http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/snacks_supplements/natural_plant_snacks/herbs/301238
I buy the dandelion, ribwort and 'garden herbs' which are all safe ingredients wise, but be careful to read ingredients on the other JR farms herbs as not all are rabbit safe despite being listed as such. The bags are surprisingly large and last a long time, even with eight mouths to feed
Pets At Home also do some lovely flowers which the buns go mad for. You can order online if you don't like going in though it's obviously subject to postage unless you spend a certain amount. I would prefer that myself but since I use Companion Care vets I unfortunately have to go into the store quite often anyway.
This is the favourite one:
http://www.petsathome.com/shop/en/p...wers-sunflower-petals-small-animal-topper-14g they also do a blue cornflower and camomile, lucerne and marigold and rose petal and timothy hay one. I usually buy a few and mix with other dried forage. They also do 'Woodlands Rabbit Forage' which is a lovely mix, as well as a 'blackcurrant and apple forage' mix which are really good but I get less often as it get's expensive for so many rabbits :lol:
Other sites I use more occassionally are
https://www.viovet.co.uk/ and
https://www.pet-supermarket.co.uk/
Another thing that might be worth a look is Amazon as at the moment they're doing an offer on your first subscribe and save on some pet foods where you get 20% off the first one (I bought 2kg of Fibafirst this morning for £7.19
normal price is £8.99, a tiny bit more expensive than vetuk but you're supposed to be able to cancel the subscribtion so I've set it to three months and will cancel it after I've got the first one)
Another surprising place is Morrisons if you shop there - they do a 'Dandelion Salad' for £2 which the buns love. It was the first thing all of them ate after spays/neuters and in many cases also stasis episodes
Be careful though, Asda do a very similar one, same packaging (both are by Rosewood) and I think the same name but that one contains popcorn. No idea why it's different but packaged the same :?
As with everything it's best to check ingredients first :thumb:
