Hi All!

It's been a while. I lost my French lop fox some time ago, so have been away a while.

I picked up Bob a couple of months back. But I am having real trouble sexing him. I think he's a buck, but I can't find any testicles at all (or scrotum)!

Usually really good with this but, really struggling. He's 5 months old.

Can someone please help.... is he Bob?! (Full name Bob The Destroyer lol)

99.9% sure Bob's a Buck. Is Bob a Frenchie ? I cant tell his breed just by looking at his willy !! Large breed Rabbits mature more slowly than smaller breeds, so his testicles may not have dropped yet. Bucks can retract their testicles back into the abdominal cavity too, especially if they feel threatened (.................by a pesky Vet with a scalpel !)

Sorry to hear that you lost your Frenchie, but welcome to Bob!

Yes, he looks like a buck to me :)

Has he been to the vet yet for his vaccinations? They can double check the sex, and give you a prognosis for a neutering date - presuming you will be getting him neutered?

And I hope he doesn't live up to his name??!
 
Thanks guys! I thought he was but just doubted myself. He's far from a destroyer. He's the most laid back bunny I've ever know!

He's a mini lop.
