The joy of Alfies first time outside

Hi all, since we have moved to the country we have wanted Alfie and Gracie to have more space and stimulation. Today while Jacqui and I were disgussing this at the laundry door Alfie worked out how to use the cat flap. This is the result. I can only describe this first outside time as pure joy.

Looks like he was having a whale of a time exploring and seems to have had springs fitted to his paws!
Was that an orange tree lurking at the end of his explorations?

Actually a Meyer lemon. Fruit is an orangy yellow colour.

He was actually out for about 30 minutes and went in and out of the house a few times. He eventually went in to find Gracie and stayed in.
