  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Milo and Rory have had a little fight. Rory has def come out worse. She has a little bald patch on her back and a couple of small wounds. I dont think theyre bites i think its more where the fur has been pulled forcefully. Ive given the wounds a clean and she seems fine. Shes eating drinking pooing binkying and flopping. She doesn't seem phased if i go near her ajd will let me have a good look without even flinching so i dont think its causing her pain. Is there anything i need to do other than just keep an eye on her and keep it clean. Theyve been seperated again but can still see each other. They dont seem phased by the fight...when i got home they were flopped together and grooming each other x

I'd re-check both Bunnies again later this evening. Sometimes it is easy to miss a 'fresh' puncture wound but after a few hours it will harden up a bit and be more obvious, It is the tiny puncture wounds that are likely to cause more problems as they can be deep and full of bacteria (from the tooth/teeth that caused it). Hopefully you have found all the war wounds and you have dealt with them appropriately. I'd just have a re-check this evening to be on the safe side :)

I would do as you've suggested :thumb:

It sounds like they are getting on basically, so hopefully no serious wounding?
