Hello,
Im based in slough in a veterinary surgery. we have taken on a bonded pair of rabbits (female). one has quite a severe head tilt. all appropriate checks and treatment have been given but unfortunately it seems to be more of a visual defect, this being said she is a friendly and happy rabbit. she is eating well and lives normally. we are trying everything to rehome these 2! our vets have agreed there is no reason she shouldn't live a normal life and is not in pain. due to this 'issue'.
the second bunny appears normal and is larger. she is the leader of the pack! whilst living with us in the surgery they have been in a large walk in kennel. this does not contain wood shavings, however when we add fresh hay in she can be very sneezy. previously we have treated this incase of infection however nothing has changed. it always seems to be when fresh hay is added and we are now considering a intolerance to a dustier environment. because of this we would recommend a suitable environment using dust free bedding. they have also been in all winter and would need to stay inside.
together they are a lovely pair and have been with us for about 3 weeks now whilst looking for home.
pictures can be supplied if you are interested just email me. both rabbits are brown. 1-3 years of age we estimate.
if yourselves or anyone you know can offer this pair a lovely home please email.
