Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Zebedee - update 10/01/16

Hi, just thought I'd update you on how Zebedee was getting on after losing Dora. I syringe fed him all night Sunday and all day Monday with the last feed being at 12 midnight on Sunday - he hated it!! Luckily I managed to get a bit into him by mixing the dust from the rabbit food in but we were both relieved when I'd finished! Since then he is eating much better (if only to get me to leave him alone!); I have totally spoilt him with herbs and he is back on his pellets and I think he's also eating some hay. He's not drinking that much but I am monitoring this. We viewed a friend for him at BARC on Sunday and have reserved her, she is beautiful, just waiting for her to be spayed and then the bonding process can begin! He is lonely so it can't come soon enough. Thanks for your support, I really appreciate it xx

That's good news about Zebedee :D I'm pleased you have found a new friend for him and hope that the bonding will go well. Will she stay at BARC until after her spay?

What lovely news! I'm glad to hear he's off the syringe food!

Are BARC going to bond the pair for you? Do you have a date when bonding will be begin? I bet Zeb would be dead keen, if he knew what you'd got in mind for him

She'll stay there until she's totally healed but I will have to bond them as Angie doesn't do that. I bonded zebedee with dora but I had a available and a shed then so I might need advice! She is so sweet and I think perfect for him. I'm not his favourite person at the moment though, he runs as soon as he sees me!! Can't wait for them to be settled together xx
