Just a curious thought.
Rabbits make warrens out in the real world, we make our runs as dig resistant as possible. Has anyone ever made a big, compacted pile of soil, say with concrete underneath, to see if they will make their own private warren?

I've not done it myself but I'm sure I've seen someone on here that did, although it was a long time ago. Getting them out in case they go to ground if they were ill might be an issue though.

I was thinking as part of their daytime run rather than a new home. Feeding would still be confined to their hutch, grass and branches excepted. However much I like their company I cannot and will not watch them 24/7.

I did give mine a huge dig box with earth but they wee'd and poo'd in it so it had to be changed often.

It is something I want to do again though.
