Wow, it has gone much smoother than expected. The sisters Francesca and Anastasia are a delight, completely different from the first time I met them. Anastasia, the white rabbit, is the most chilled out rabbit I have known. She often bunny flops and goes to sleep in front of me.

I like to get bonding done as quickly as possible and put Bandit in with the girls half an hour after they arrived. They are so chilled and accepting, they were trying to comfort a very nervous shaking Bandit, who must have shook for several hours. We had them in the front room so I could moniter them and in the end kept turning Bandit around to face the girls. Eventually he did plenty of head humping and calmed down. The girls didn't flinch, just accepted the head humps.

They are in the base in the back room now, so I can sleep in the same room. They are all chilled, Bandit only did one head hump today and later was happily grooming Anastasia.

Blimey, it all sounds to be going really well. You are very brave ! I hope they will soon be a happily bonded trio xx

I was terrified what might have happened but the girls immediately accepted Bandit. Both of them are crawling all over him now.

pleased it went so well, it was obviously meant to be.Aww, little shaky bandit ! Can we have photos please?

I will try, but for some reason my Photoshop isn't working.

Big shaking Bandit, he is the size of both the girls put together. He is a REX and nearly 4 kilos. He has always been a big baby.

Aaaw I can't wait to meet your new buns. So glad it is all going well. Maybe they will encourage Bandit to be more friendly.

Is Bandit a foster bun too? Otherwise what would happen if the two new girls got rehomed?

I don't think the local rescue does fostering any longer, sadly.

I hope you get a good sleep tonight and the trio behave xxx

Wow, fantastically well done BYB :D

I love the girls' names  And I too would like photos please!

It sounds as though it has gone very well. Looking forward to seeing some pics of the happy trio.

Thanks.

Bandit is adopted from BARC. The girls are permanent fosters from ARC, they are taken off the rehoming site and will always live here, just like Georgia. ARC know I will care for them, fed them and provide everything they need but we can't afford vet bills.

Babydarling's eye isn't getting much better, that could cost about £500.00 with xrays and a GA for a tear duct flush. All the chinchillas get eye problems and as everyone knows Mr B is a dental bunny. If James's endowment policy pays up in March, I will definitely consider adopting the girls, as I do feel bad fostering permanently.

But that does free up much needed Rescue space. So it all helps .

Sorry to hear that BDs eyes are no better. I hope that the Specialist can come up with a few more treatment options.

I think fostering is brilliant and only wish they did it locally as I am in the same position as you with regard to vet bills - am still paying off Cherry and Hovis' huge bill.

Your animals eat better than I do and have a wonderful life with you. They are very lucky.
