Mama Doe
Oh my sweet wee Princess Nyssa, how can you be 8 already?!
And yet, it's apparently true. Facebook threw up one of your very first pictures today as a memory. A picture quite obviously from the day you very first arrived home.
Yes, I know "older" age is beginning to set in as your back leg is now occasionally a bit creaky. But otherwise, you're still my pretty little nortie tortie girlie. You're funny and affectionate when it suits you. You'll only go out at the height of summer, otherwise are pretty much completely indoor only. (Funny, it's raining and cooler today - you're at the foot of my bed as I type. Yesterday, you were still outside, lounging in the garden.) You don't understand how to be stroked, but still like to be touched in a peculiar way. Your tail still hooks over as it has always done. You don't really miaow, but squeak and chirrup all day long. And when you purr, it's the most special noise in the world.
I love you Nyssa, here's to many more years. <3
