Lady Blue had her check up on Tuesday morning.
Vet is happy with her recovery, she's got lots of mucus coming out and he said that's a good indication that the infection is clearing.
Hes prescribed her another weeks worth of Baytril.
Her poops have returned to hard balls, lots of them! She's drinking and eating her nuggets and veg - Still refusing hay - I've tried taking all nuggets away but she still doesn't go for the hay. Wondering if it's because it takes a while to chomp a strand and because she can't breathe well because of the mucus that she doesn't want to.
I've been cutting her veg into small pieces that can go in in one and gives her time to breathe after each bite.
She's more active, she's in and out her cage all day, and today she went all the way over the other side of the room and had a snooze.
I have noticed, If she lays on her side (like a dead bunny) she can't get back up. I have to pick her up, I've only seen her do it twice since having her inside.
First time she jumped out the cage the wrong side and slipped on the cardboard stopping her getting into our stuff and laid on her side unable to get up.
And today she went under the bed and I checked on her and she was on her side again, she wiggles her front paws and lifts her head, i just pick her up and she toddles off and lays down on her tummy :/
She is 8 so wondering if it's an age thing? Or if she's being clumsy and "getting stuck" in an awkward way that she can't roll back over?
Otherwise she's being her sassy stroppy self lol
