can a rabbit gain weight though a phantom pregnancy

I'm new to rabbits well looking after them and my oldest is going thou a phantom pregnancy she 17 months old she started to pick hay up and pull fur out vet said it phantom as she not been near any male all her life so just looking for advice

Hi. Female rabbits can experience health complications from pseudopregnancies, I've not heard of weight gain being a primary consequence but it is possible. Getting females spayed will prevent a continuation of this cycle which is stressful for the female and increases hormonal aggression towards humans and other animals. It will also protect her from uterine cancer which affects up to 80-90% of unspayed females by the age of 5 years. It is a horrible, painful, fatal disease.
