What breed is she?

BunnyMania

Young Bun
Some of you that have seen my other post will know that I rescued a bunny earlier last month. I would like some input on what breed/s she could possibly be.

I'm guessing she is a seal point in colour but the breed is confusing me a little bit. Mostly because of her ears! They don't suit the rest of her body.

Her previous owners were told that she was a dwarf cross. I think she must have some lionhead in her because she has started growing tufts of hair around her face. She currently weighs around 867 grams and is around 16 weeks old (if owners estimates were correct). One of her ears has also started to lop a bit!

So, any guesses?

Following two pictures are from not long after I got her...

Here are some more recent pictures. You can see she has changed in a couple of weeks!

Probably a lion lop of some description. Very common crossbreed currently.
Without seeing both parents there's no way to know for sure- and even then there could be other breeds in the mix of parents weren't purebred and grandparents etc!

She's very cute either way :)

I agree that there is some lionhead in the mix, I think there is likely some dwarf lop as well judging from the ears. Can she control them? I used to have a dwarf lop cross that had full control of his ears, my dad used to call him semaphore like the flag waving thing!

She is stunning!

Thanks all - lionhead cross lop is all I have so far. They seemed to have been told she is a Netherland Dwarf cross though, and judging by ears, she isn't!

I know some people are quite good at pointing out a rabbits features and what breed they are from so I thought I would at least ask :)

She also isn't too big at under 900 grams so I was wondering what she could really be crossed with, she can't be a large breed cross surely not with her at this age already!

As for her ear control, its a bit mixed. She doesn't move them an awful lot but one has definitely started to lop since being here.

Ooh, this is one of my fave games! :)

I think there's more in there. I'm guessing one parent is lionhead x dwarf lop and the other is a nethie. Reasoning: floofy cheeks and loppy ears - lionhead x dwarf lop. Facial features and size - Netherland dwarf. The description - lionhead x dwarf lop is a popular cross and usually labelled as such. The more vague 'cross' suggests something a little extra.

Anyways, she's adorable

Thought I would update this post with more recent pictures. Think she must definitely have lionhead in her! It is showing more. She weighs a bit over 1 kg now and is supposedly around 6 months old.
