Pet Carrier?

FooManChew

New Kit
So, I discovered last week there are No Vets in my area that treat Rabbits... disappointing as my family all uses a fantastic local vet here that has gone above and beyond many many times for several people I know that use them. BUT they referred me to an office not too terribly far away that specializes in Small Animal and Exotics. The first appointment is to get established & discuss vaccinations, neutering and general care, the appointment is Next Monday. I'm optimistic about the visit as it seems the Vet has Many Years of experience with an amazing array of animals including working regularly with the DNR (department of natural resources) on wild animal rescue and release programs.

I need to locate a pet carrier this week. The vet is a good 1/2 hour away & ya never know what kinds of critters will be in the waiting room. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might buy a reasonably priced rabbit approved pet carrier? I'm looking locally even for second hand listings, we do not have a pet store where I live and the stores with the largest pet supply departments here are Walmart & Kmart. I've looked a bit on Amazon and eBay but haven't quite decided. For Trips under and Hour would it be Best to get them something Smaller-which could seem more like a Hide, large enough to easily contain him without allowing space for him to run or jump, or something Larger which would give him room to move around? I don't know how he will react with traveling and the Stress of the Vet Appointment... he's not generally a nervous & is very outgoing with strangers but I worry that if the appointment freaks him out would a smaller contained space be more soothing and calming or should I look into something larger? I don't anticipate traveling much with Foo & at this point really think I only need something to transport him to and from the vet. I realize a week may not be enough time to order online but if anyone has any advice on size and style it would give me a starting point to begin my search locally.
Much Thanks!

I also recommend the Catit Cabrio if you can get it: it's sturdy, easy to fit together (with some patience ;P), has plenty of space but not too much, is secure and has enough openings you can whip them out or in anyway you like! It does have a see-through door but I turn that around in the waiting room so it faces the wall if they're not feeling up to socialising :)
