Badgers

So we've had the pleasure of sharing our deck with badgers every night. We have three join us (mum, an older baby and one from last/this year)

Did get a video of all three but I can't upload videos :(

They are generally around 3ft away when on the deck but OH had one come and sniff his feet last night while he was out on the deck finding a data signal.

I'm back this week so will catch up on the forum properly then :)

Also had a squirrel every morning/afternoon who is addicted to OHs peanut butter.

Wow, I have seen badgers before, but these pictures are amazing and also what an amazing place to stay.

Amazing!! Aren't they meant to be fierce creatures though?!
Only if cornered and forced to fight they can be formidable. Built like little tanks with sharp claws and sharp teeth. They'll do anything to protect their den & cubs.

Given a choice, they'd rather run away. And they do sound terrified when they run away. They pant and sound all panicked (we had one run from the road where people were walking up onto the deck with me - panting and looking all panicked before heading in the direction of the den)

They're quite funny as they're not quiet at all, we know when they're coming as they walk through bushes and make a right racket.

Thanks for the comments on the pictures - they're not the best I got but not the worse either.
