Clippers for rabbit?

Are these clippers safe to use on a rabbit? http://www.lidl.ie/en/Offers.htm?action=showDetail&id=42529 Dexter is a Double maned LionLop,I think the mane is ok but I'd like to give around the bum a trim and also give his "skirt" a trim. What is the best way to use them on rabbits? He absolutely hates being groomed so I want to do this so it doesn't have to be done as often causing less stress. Thanks for any replies.

I've never used clippers on my rabbit, so can't advise, bumping up for you :thumb:

For rabbits with a lot of thick, long fur, you would need proper veterinary clippers. You could ask your vet about the type to use on your particular rabbit. I find that smaller and less powerful ones just won't work unless you've already clipped a substantial amount of fur from around the area first. If the fur is short then you can trim using the clippers you've identified.

How about keeping the fur clipped very short with blunt, curve edged scissors?
