Camera in the Rabbit House

Zen Rabbits

Young Bun
i'd love to be able to provide my customers and myself the ability to check up on the bunnies via camera from their phones

Im a little stuck as there are so many!

do any of you do this? if so whats your setup?

Thanks

Jemma

This is the one thing I'd love as a customer! But I'd imagine you'd have to have unlimited broadband on your property as webcams use a lot of bandwidth (I sound like I know what I'm talking about but that's about the limit of my technical knowledge ).

I have Samsung webcams in the kitchen/conservatory to watch the dogs and piggies when I'm at work. Haven't progressed to one in the shed yet because I'd need a wifi booster/extender box to get a good signal in the garden.

My Samsung cameras also have a record and talk back facility so I can chat to the dogs :thumb:.

ETA: I have the Smartcam app on my phone so I can watch their antics from my desk at work (or wherever else I happen to be).

no idea but that would be awesome. I really struggle with the idea of leaving my rabbits to go on my hols but would be so reassured to be able to watch them myself. I guess you could offer it as an enhanced option for one of the holiday cottages & assess its popularity. I'd pay an extra £2-£3 a night for this. Do it:) Once you've worked out all the technicalities of course

I've never used boarding but would definitely be more likely to if I could check in on the buns! Very reassuring for a worrier, great idea.

Brilliant idea - I'd definitely pay more.

We have one hubble (not on a moveable mount) - its good as the app is easily accessible for anyone wiht an android/iphone & my dad finds his that moves (like the one above) is really reliable. You can have more than one camera set to your account & can name them different names so each customer can tell which camera they need to look at for their buns.

We've got one of these in the room: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01FDHE79E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Now it works brilliantly, but you have to download the app from a website (not the play store etc) so some customer may find this awkward & be put off.

Hopefully this has helped. Both cameras we have are really good & I love having it in their room as we can check on them without disturbing them if they're flopped out.
I'll get some pics of what we see to upload so you can see kinda how each is used.

So this is the one we use to monitor the top level of their cage : https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product...0-2ad7-412c-8634-6cd03b7b73e2&pf_rd_i=desktop

(Sorry the pictures are so huge & some upside down.. I've no idea how to change that)

This is the one we use to watch the rest of the room: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01FDHE79E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As you can see - we get a full view of the entire room really easily.
