Vets Now OOH

Hugo's There

Wise Old Thumper
I know a lot of people have negative views about them but I just wanted to share how brilliant they were with us last night.

Arthur suddenly became ill at 10pm last night. By 11pm it became clear he couldn't wait until morning to see a vet.

From the moment I rang vets now in Milton Keynes they asked all the right questions and more. When we arrived, as the vet was busy with another emergency, a made sure all was ok while we waited.

Arthur was given a very thorough examination, immediate pain relief and blood glucose taken. They contacted great Western referrals for a second opinion and at 1am were offered the option of driving to Swindon for a ct scan straight away. Given it seemed highly likely it was a large tumour in his abdomen we opted to pts. But the vet gave us nearly three hours of her time despite also trying to save a seriously ill cat at the same time.

Yes it cost us £300 but I think that's a small price to pay for such great care, with access to specialist vet input at that time of night.

I know there are some terrible vets now out there for rabbits and I'm sorry for those that have had bad experiences. But wanted to give credit where credit was due and say not all Vets Now are automatically bad.

Its lovely you had such a good experience with your emergency vets in an obviously upsetting time.
I'm so sorry you lost Arthur but having good treatment makes all the difference.

xx RIP Arthur xx

This absolutely. Sorry that Arthur couldn't be mended

on phone wrong thread my apologies.

I am sorry you lost Arthur but glad the vet was supportive. It made a great difference to me that we could take our time and be gentle when my bunnies were pts.
