Male bunny neutering

My male mini lop is almost 5 months now. I'm keen to have him neutered as he's a companion bunny, they get along great, but I feel bonding can't get to next stage as my female goes crazy to mount him, I thinks his pheromones are driving her wild! Are there any signs that make it obvious he's ready for the "nutcracker suite", as I don't feel he's really showing any at the moment. Many thanks, Joanne

The best sign is when both testicles are in view, some male bunnies don't show any hormonal behaviours. The reason your female is humping him is for dominance/territorial reasons I would imagine. You will need to bond them in a completely neutral area as far as your female rabbit is concerned as the females get very territorial.
