Alpha Buck
Hi all, got a dilemma I hope you can help me with. As I've put on here before, I have two bonded pairs in extensive runs in the garden, they are very happy with each other. I help out at our local rescue on a Saturday morning, cleaning out and general help (the rescue has around 30 bunnies at the moment). There is a bunny there at the moment, I think a French Lop or cross, agouti in colour (my favourite) a neutered boy, quite young I think, and he is the most 'humanised' rabbit I have ever met. He came out of his cage for a run round while I cleaned out, and he sat with his front feet on my knee while I was working. He is very happy to be stroked and loved, and did a lap round my feet when I came back to him after getting fresh food and water. I'm now thinking of getting him as a houserabbit. My problem is that I still work full time, leaving home before 5 in the morning and getting home around 2.30pm, and obviously have the other 4 to care for, so he won't get my full attention when I'm home. Also, would he be happier with another rabbit rather than me? There are single does at the rescue, but they don't bond all rabbits as people do take singles for bonding to their own. I think I know the answer, but I just think he might be happier with me than at the rescue. What shall I do??:?
