Rabbit Housing

Hi!
I'm due to this site and I really need some advice!
I'm moving house, and they are leaving their outdoor dog kennel.
I am looking into adopting two rabbits when we move in as I've always wanted rabbits!
My question is, if I convert the dog kennel into rabbit housing, will the rabbits know that a dog has been in there and be frightened due to the smell?
And has anyone converted a dog kennel into rabbit housing, was it easy enough?

I think it will air out over time and shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't go straight from dogs to rabbits in a few days. You could try a steam cleaner, that might help get rid of anything stinky and maybe a new coat of wood preservative.

The kennels with attached runs make great housing, the main thing to check would be the mesh spacing - obviously rabbits being smaller need finer mesh than they sometimes use. It just depending on the specific run.
