Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Sitting on cold surfaces normal?

My little bunny i feel is rather weird at times. She likes sitting on cold surfaces all the time (eg. Lino and removes qny fleece type blankets) yet at times she likes to sit by heat as if she likes cold from the bottom and warmth from the top. Yet other times she sits in her straw box.i dont know if this is normal or could she have some illness? Anyone can give me any insight ?

They do seem to be quite happy sitting on lino or slabs and ignore blankets unless it's to wee on! Most of mine prefer their litter tray with hay in it, so they spend a lot of time eating the hay.

I don't think it's necessarily that the surfaces are cold, just they often like clear flat surfaces - so they'll move hay or blankets out the way. Scamp is on tile but he does like a shallow cardboard box or grass mat to sit on. I presume they are flat enough but still warmer.
