I am trying to set up photography alongside my day job, I know it will be a challenge so I am going to put some prints up for sale on ebay/etsy etc just to get my name out there and see what the market is like. Here are some fairly recent photos I have taken, I would love some honest opinions please, the only way I can improve is to see feedback both good and bad :) TIA

I have a nikon D80 and a Sony ax33, honestly I prefer the Sony, don't know If that's because the nikon is an older model compared to the Sony, my grandpa gave me the nikon so I'm reluctant to stop using it ;) I have a Facebook page but not a website yet

I think if it's something you enjoy and would do for yourself then it's a great idea to put some things up for sale and see where it takes you.

The only thing I would say is that it's a very competitive market and your photos aren't the very best out there (except the sunrise/sunset - that is absolutely beautiful) so I'd maybe look at selling photo products in addition to prints - it will require a little outlay but things like postcards, cards, notebooks, mounted and framed prints, cushions and mugs will probably sell better than prints because they're gift-ready. Try etsy for selling - their rates are low and there's a huge customer base.

The best person to 'listen' to for animal photo advice is Chris Packham: he's harsh but ultimately right!

I love my Nikon D90, but I'm a constant auto-no-flash user :( I just find I rarely have the time to fiddle with the settings, and half the time it's not worth it because the conditions are always changing!

Thanks guys, I don't mind harsh advice, ultimately I want people to be honest, I cant learn/improve any other way :) Thanks for all your comments though
