Wise Old Thumper
Did a full clean of the buns' house as we'd been away a week: bun-sitter was awesome though, very diligent! I got a phonecall Christmas Eve and thought 'oh no, not again!' after Lopsy's unknown-cause temperature last year but she was just after the snugglesafe 'cooking time'.
Anyway, before we left we gave them a massive apple branch: we went to our friends' in Silverstone and Matt cut it down because it was 'untidy', so they had an unexpected toy:
"Aw, c'mon, there's got to be more than this?! Or otherwise why are you still here?!"
'Sharing'...
Anyway, today: I've taken to putting paper everywhere now as bunsitter did and it seems to have helped Aboleth's wetness. Here is the hutch (it's an extra space they can go in their tunnel-y warren, not their main base!)
And inside the main house:
The buns have been helping by scattering hay everywhere...
If I don't put the water under there, Lopsy gets in it. I had it half-in, half-out of the bit under the windowsill where it is now and he still managed to jump in it...
I'm about to fill the hanging one up: I just filled the one above the litter tray up with the stuff out of the hanging one!
As you can see... Aboleth's just found a really twiggy bit (she'd alreeady dragged one out of the hanging basket).
They both do this. I know they sit on the top too. I should really mesh it sooner rather than later! Aboleth also grabs the hanging one with her paws and then nearly falls off the stool
Attempting to fill the hanging basket: "I'm helping!"
Still, can't fault them too much, they're good little hay eaters!
