Eight years ago today Honeybunnies Rescue managed to save eight rabbits and ten guinea pigs from a horrendous fate at an animal market. Gabriel was the last rabbit that Jill was able to bid for - £23 it cost for all eighteen animals.

Six months later Gabriel came to live with me, and what an incredible character he has turned out to be. His antics are always entertaining - sometimes infuriating - and it is a pleasure and a privilege to have him in my life.

So happy rescue day Gabe - and thank you Jill for giving him a future.

I remember the day well and a couple of the rabbits we couldn't save still haunt me..you were lucky as we weren't meant to take you as we were at our limit...but how could we leave you!
