So I went to feed the buns last night and was instantly worried as they didn't hoover the pellets up, thought they just had the ump as been under cover all day, has anyone else noticed their buns giving them the evil eye?!
Susan started eating, she usually has to wait for Shadow but he was too busy pressing his tummy in to the hutch floor, he was moving around but I could tell he wasn't right, he was then hunching up in the corner and wasn't even won over by fenugreek crunchies
I gave him tummy rubs and attempted to syringe (childrens iburpofen syringe is the perfect size btw) some watered down pineapple juice, he had a bit of that then somehow ended up stood on my back - yeah you're really poorly Shadow :lol:
This was around 7.30 and I left them for about an hour with lots of tempting hay and dried herbs, Susan must have thought it was Christmas although I did seperate them to see if he was eating - he wasn't so I took him to the vet last night at around 9.30.
The vat seemed really savvy, really had a good tummy feel and spent a long time massaging him, he then tried to climb up the wall
I'm wondering of the bumpiness in the car helped his tum a bit? He was poking his head out of the cardboard box as we got to the vet, yes that's right I had to out him in an amazon box  as I hadn't put the carrier away and it was full of water
So he had painkiller and gut stimulant and the vet wasn't too worried and said it looks like I had noticed quite early and he'd be better off at home, she gave me a syringe with the instructions of "get 5ml of his food with water down him" oh joy! But he took it fine, phew!
So we came home and I put him to bed, woke up numerous times in the night feeling sick with worry.
Went straight out to check on him, mild panic as only Susan came over.....saw him tucked behind the door but lo and behold he looked happier AND HE ATE A FENUGREEK CRUNCHIE AND DRIED HERBS wooooop
Nathan has been out to check on him and he snorted down the fennel that was offered and half a crunchie and hand fed him some pellets, he didn't eat from the bowl but did by hand
So anyway, I wanted to pass my thanks on, I have learnt so much from being on here!!!
I did notice lots and lots of tiny poops this morning, is it likely they are his? normally they both do biggish golden ones, these were pea like and darker....
