Bunny greasy after ear drops

Hi

My little bunny had to have a minor op to remove some cysts near the base of his ears. He is doing well and about a week ago he finished his course of ear drops.

The ear drops have made is the fur round about his ears and head greasy. Just wondered when the greasy look will dog away. I have been brushing and wiped round the area with a warm cloth but doesn't look any better.

You could try mopping up some of the oil in the fur by rubbing small amounts of something like cornflour, talc or chalk powder through the fur as you groom - so just rub it in and brush it out. Don't get it in any wounds or in the ears, though.

Personally I would just leave it, and in time he will groom it away. It's not harming him and although perhaps unsightly, doesn't really matter :D

Trim the fur if it's long and greasy, but otherwise I wouldn't put anything on it to try and remove the grease

I'm glad the op went well for him :D
