Attaching run to shed?

Plushlops

Young Bun
Hi

I have got a new run to attach to the bunnies shed but I am not sure the best way to go about it.

It needs to be secure as I want them to be able to have access 24/7.

This is the run, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221614628523

I have got welded mesh to line the run and it will be sitting on concrete.

This thread has the same run but I cant figure out how they have attached the run to the floor and shed. http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/s...ayhouse-is-nearly-finished-buns-have-moved-in!!!

Thanks

You should be able to get saddle cable clamps, which is a bit of metal with a screw hole each end and a hump in the centre for the cable to go under - would go over the wire the same.

I'm not sure how sturdy the wire pens are. You might be better popping a wood frame around it, clipping the wire to that are then attaching the frame to the run.

Not hugely: we've got bricks on top of ours in the corners to hold it down, and cable ties holding it together all over the place. We do think ours has been put together wrong though (in a permanent way :S). Ours rocks around quite a bit (it's alarming if you're not used to it) because it has little half-ring 'feet' designed to sit on the grass/dirt and have a pin (like a metal tentpeg) pushed through to hold it down. Once we'd got tunnels going in and out and brick stairs it seems stay stable quite well though!

It wouldn't take too much DIY skill to know a frame up. I'd go for chunky base boards around the bottom - so four boards to make a rectangle. And then you could add uprights at the corners :)
