what give you the most pleasure from keeping rabbits

Rita

Warren Scout
mine is watching them run free in the garden, when they run flat out and leap high in the air.

For me, seeing them run around and binky is definitely high up there, also them coming up to get a cuddle. Bunbuns is very affectionate, so it's more her who comes for cuddles, whether that is right by my feed when working on the pc, or jumping right next to me while on the sofa. Though I have to say I love Fluffy's cute little nose bump then running off jumping around when I "run" after him. He'll does it until I do, so no way of not doing it or he'll keep nose bumping me for ages. So I guess it's their general cuteness for me. Just perfect

Binkying :D Especially when they're just standing and then a moment later are 2' away and facing a completely different direction. Although most of their antics are hilarious and fulfilling! A friend asked which one made me laugh more: I couldn't decide!

It's just seeing them happy, in a relatively natural environment, doing the things that bunnies enjoy doing. I don't 'need' anything from them. I get my pleasure from knowing they have a good home for life. Same with my piggies.

The little things ....

The way her whiskers feel on my leg when she is trying to creep up on me!

Nose bumps.

Watching her sleep on my lap so contented

and everything else - couldn't imagine life without her now

I love watching them play when they're free range in the garden. If I'm a bit down I love to go and clean the hutches out while the buns are running around me. I feel I've died and gone to heaven.

when they lie with their back legs out & contentedly lick their front paws . Gotta love binkies & flops. Mouse really amuses me in the way she tells me off

everything really - I spend hours every day just watching my bunnies & never get bored

Lots of things give me joy, but seeing them happy and healthy is number 1.

We thought we were going to lose our Poppet last summer, so every day we have her is joyous. I love seeing her up on her back legs, begging for treats. I also love seeing her face squished up against the grid (separating her from Cookie bun), as if she's saying "me too, mummy!". :)

With Cookie, I love the way she jumps up at me. She's mummy's girl and will come looking for snuggles. I love the way she grunts at me if she's unhappy with treats being offered - it *must* be dried yum-yums. Anything else is unacceptable. :)

Bella is an absolute fluff-bun and I love seeing her flopped out on the floor. She completely relaxes, head on the floor. :)

Bertie loves causing trouble, and binkies across the floor when he's been told off. Then he'll do it again. :)

I like watching Sonic run free round our gardens (he's adopted next doors garden as his own), then when he's had enough I like how he'll come sit next to you and chill.
I also love the fact that if he hears a noise he'll run there first, as if he's trying to protect you
He's like my very own guard bunny!

I like looking down on the garden from the back windows and seeing them investigating their aviary areas, grooming each other, racing up and down the tunnel to the hutch and binkying about

Just watching them being bunnies, whether its binkying madly round the garden, earwashing or sitting lazily in the sun

Having something to see at the end of an evening, and chat to without being judged  And having a little friend who runs up to me every time he sees me (he wants food but let's pretend it's because he cares...) and wants my attention!

With my group of four it's simply watching them be rabbits. They're not particularly into being 'pet' rabbits - they'd rather be left to do their own thing and you know what, that's fine for me! They were born in a field and missed out on all the human socialisation until I adopted them, by which point they had simply become reliant on each other for their support. Binkying, watching them play lookout for each other, a grooming pile (usually with my biggest boy underneath getting all the attention), just being rabbits - it's wonderful.

It's much different with my two Contis because they're much more friendly and interactive. Just sitting on the sofa with some pellets and finding myself getting mugged by two great big lumps wanting a bit of food - I love it so much. It might be food-love on their part, but knowing that they're so confident around me and with themselves to show me who's boss... I'm smitten by them.

It's a great contrast, but I wouldn't change any of them for what they give me back! :D

Neo used to stand up with his front feet against the cage bars whenever I came into the room, stretched right up on his tiptoes. He wanted either a treat or some nose rubs, preferably both! Too cute.

And he used to play a kind of chase-me game with my boyfriend - he'd hop up onto an unoccupied chair and just stare at my boyfriend until he got up to "shoo" him off. Neo would jump back onto the floor, boyfriend would sit back down, Neo would hop back onto the chair. Repeated about a million times until boyfriend got bored and stopped getting up, and then Neo would jump back down and nudge his feet, then initiate the game again.

Of course, binkying. I love that. I've always called it "sproinging" though - a combination of "boing" and "spring", I guess. Also, bunny ears. i love bunny ears.

I love the peaceful atmosphere that they seem to have round them. Sitting in the rabbit shed (any one of them) is a really great form of relaxation for me. Their sweetness and beauty are added bonuses!

Just watching them being bunnies-having a friend and space to move, things to investigate. When they get beyond excited at food times:lol:

Such a peaceful feeling when they snuggle together and look so happy.

After being downstairs with the pups, it is lovely to escape upstairs to the calm and peacefulness of little nosey bumps, digs and gentle bits at my ankles  - I also love their faces when I give them their fresh hay- they dive in and the expressions of happy concentration and noise just makes me feel at home.

I love going into their room first thing in the morning, their night light is still on and it's all calm and cozy - and then they realise I'm there and so commences the bouncing around and rush for food:D.

I love being in their room when I've just completed their weekly clean - I just keep going in and telling them to keep it tidy this week pleeeessse - lasts about an hour before Holly digs everything all over the place.:D

At the moment though - it is stressful as I am still trying to bond Cheyenne and Lenny and Lenny alternates between loving her and chasing her - and trying to get food and meds down her. But bless her heart - she doesn't run from me when I go to pick her up and imbetween feeds/meds she is very happy to have me around her - and that gives me so much joy and pleasure

Oh, I also love that little happy bunny noise, like a very quiet honk, the one they make when they are relaxed but not really asleep.

Other rabbits make that noise, right? It wasn't just my Neo being weird? ;)
