An Open Letter of Thanks From The Bunnies Of RU - For Jack's-Jane

I have three bunnies here who would like me to post their (recent) pictures, because they want to thank Jack's-Jane for always being so helpful and for supporting their mum and helping her to become a better carer for them.
(I'll apologise in advance for the horrid photography, I really don't excel in this area. But some forage sort of helped keep the bunnies still long enough for even my unskilled attempts! :lol: )

We'll start with Fiver:

"Mum first came to RU to find help for me because I had bad recurring cecal dysbiosis. Jack's-Jane was a member mum recognized here and she found Jane had lots of information mum needed to help me get better."

"Just look at me now! Wow...this dandelion leaf is as big as I am!"

"Thank you, Jane, for helping my mum."

Next, there's Pip:

"I usually find mum is rubbish for most things, (like how she has to take unflattering pictures of me!)

...but she had the good sense to ask Jane how to handle my most recent stomach and ear issues and found invaluable advice and support. We are so very grateful for all she has helped us with."

"Thank you, Jane."

And last but not least, Mimzy:

"I might not be here today had it not been for the support that Jane has given my mum since I got head tilt three years ago."

"I love my mum."

"Thank you, Jane, for your kindness and friendship."

And we have an 'honorary bunny' who wanted to say:


"Thank you Jane, for your well wishes when I have been ill. It means so very much."

Is Fiver a rex type bunny? He looks so small and velvety!

Thank you Jane for all your support over the years, especially when I lost my special Bella bun back in 2013. You posted a very thoughtful and sweet reply, which I have always remembered. It really helped me come to terms with my grief. xx

Hi there little Bunnies and HB Jenna How lucky you are to have such a compassionate and intuitive human to look after you every day I'm glad that I have been able to help her to help all of you at times, she has been such a wonderful friend to me.

Now, I dont know which one of you has their paws on the keyboard, but I am not sure that your human will be too pleased if you decide to embark on a bit of online retail therapy next :shock:

Smokie would also like to say thank you. For all the help you have given us in caring for her and Archie over the years and for all the support and advice when Archie was poorly.



She says it's a common thing, hoomans can't take good photos!

I can't access my pics but would like to say;

Thank you from my numerous bunnies past and present for advice on their earmites, stasis, medications and suitable diets. ....

The list is endless ....... But Janes knowledge is even more endless!!!!!!!

Mottle and Peaches would like to thank Jane for the advice given to me for Mottle. Peaches would be devestated to lose him and Mottle is much better for the care that he has received.



They have moved outside into a lovely light shed since this was taken.

Thanks also for all the posts in health. Your knowledge is so interesting and inspiring.

Lopsy would like to say something too:



"Thanks for helping Mum when she was worried about my stasis when I was indoors (like in this picture). I was alright, just a bit delicate, but I think it was hard for her and you said some reassuring things whihc really helped. And I've been fine since!"

Well, he's been fine for Lopsy, anyway XD

For the help and support you gave me when Harry was so ill.I will never forget that Jane.

I am glad that any knowledge I may have acquired from caring for all my Rabbits has also been of benefit to other Rabbits. When I obtained my first ever Rabbit in 1998 I had no idea what complex little creatures they are. I am certain there is still far more that I dont know about them than there is what I do know.

Oscar is no longer with us, but... If he was, he would be saying a BIG thank you to auntie Jane. She helped me so much when Oscar had stopped eating and I didn't know what questions to ask the vets etc, I was seriously lost, Jane helped us all. Obviously there was so much more to it than this but to try and put it all in a nutshell... Thank you Jane xxx

Bramble sends her love Jane and thanks you for your advice on building her back up when she lost a third of her body weight with a bad chest infection. The silly vet suggested giving Bramble cheese, but Bramble thought your suggestion of porridge was much better and probably much tastier.
I'm sure Flop thanked you for your help with his arthritis too xxx
