Carrots

So I was wondering whether you could give dehydrated carrots or fruits to rabbits I wasn't too sure, so I decided to ask here. I hope you guys could answer my question

Hello

Both carrots and fruit contain a lot of sugar which is not good for a Rabbit's digestive system or for their teeth. With dried carrot/fruit the sugars are even more concentrated.

The occasional small piece of fresh carrot or a small piece of fresh fruit would be OK. But only as a rare treat, not every day.

You can obtain some more information about what to feed your Rabbit here, the closer to a Wild Rabbit's diet the better :)

Yes you could give dehydrated carrots and fruits as an occasional treat. I know of one famous bunny who's diet consists of a lot of carrots, and he's doing OK! In the main, though, hay is the staple (as I'm sure you know) with forage/veggies next in line.

Some urinary tract feeding formulas include dried fruit so it's not all bad :thumb:
