Wise Old Thumper

On 1st May 2 dogs broke through the mesh door of a rabbit hutch . They killed one rabbit but were stopped before they could get hold of the bunny above .
The surviving bunny arrived with us on saturday the following day from the dog attack .
She was very very stressed . Her breathing was very laboured and she was in shock .

We checked her over and found no injuries , settled her in and monitored her .
Her breathing rate increased but she was still eating and pooing .

We have since discovered that she has a problem with her heart . Today we have had to weigh up the options and have , despite the risks involved decided to send her for an x ray and a scan .

There is a possibility that the shock of the attack has caused the heart problem . ...but it could also be something that has developed from an injury or infection . Without finding out more we don't know how to treat her .

please keep little Tiffany in your thoughts today ... Im very worried . :(

I don't usually open such threads but decided to. Dreadful. Lots of vibes for poor Tiffany.

Thinking of Tiffany and you today - is the xray under trance or GA? We have had a lot of luck with GAs under 'trance' recently with buns for whom any sedation is a risk

They are going to have to try and do a conscious x ray ... darnt trance as her breathing is so rapid due to fluid build up vet is worried it would make things worse .

I saw her photo and thought 'what a beautiful rabbit'. So sorry that she's had such a terrible time.

Sending all the vibes.
