If it's just for storage on top get the 5 one. I use them for this and also have the guinea pigs cc cage on top of two and a bunny den underneath. They chewed the legs a bit but then ignored them :D

do you know what height the 5 ones are? i can't find it online. the height is more important because it needs to leave enough space above his wooden hut. just measured for this one linked actually and now not sure if it's still not high enough. don't want him bumping his head when he jumps on the hut

eta: i don't think he would bother chewing it, but just incase thought i'd better check it would be safe

45 cm high. Mine have their ikea bed under one. How big is his hut?

thank you. i couldn't find it

his wooden hut is 21x16x12 inches. think even the one i posted wouldn't leave as big a gap as i thought originally.

we're looking into trying to change the piggy cage so we can lift it up off the floor, but it means it makes bisc's area more awkward when i catch him to do all his health checks etc. he's trained himself to do a lap (or two!) of the lounge and then into the wooden hut to be picked up from there, so i don't really want to move it and confuse him. mind you, not really anywhere to move it anyway that is better!

it's an awkward layout and i think how we have it now works best, but i just wish i could have the piggy cage off the floor slightly aswell.

Only thing I can think of is they also do extendable legs
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70217973/#/70224822

and seperate table tops

I bought these for the computer room / Alfie's room and get everything of his underneath. Piggies cage could go on top :D

thanks. i'll have to have another think, although i already spend ages pondering it

what is annoying is that there is a simple way to keep everything where it is and widen the piggy cage.. but i have the shortest arms ever and i just wouldn't beable to reach to catch them and to clean  i already really struggle to reach across a two grid wide part

it's all hard to explain anyway because of the layout and the pigs being kind of part under the stairs. will look into more tables and extendable legs
