He's buckskin, as he doesn't have the zebra or dorsal stripes
Ah I did wonder and am never sure. Is that the main visible difference?

Yup, no zebra markings on the legs and no dorsal stripe are the main visible differences. Buckskins tend to change colour through the seasons too.

There's a new pony at my riding school named 'Toffee' who looks very similar with her build and markings to your Fudge but is a palomino - they'd make a great pair

These days hacking and le trec. He used to do dressage and showing however he had several injuries which means he can no longer compete.
Oh fantastic. I would love to to le trec or jump cross but there aren't any near here
