  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vibes Needed for Bailey, please...

Can I have some healing vibes for Bailey, please? He was fine went he went to bed last night, but he's not good this morning. He'd been out on the grass yesterday, grazing, now he has tummy pain and is sitting all hunched. I'm assuming it's the spring grass that has caused it - he is a piglet when it comes to grass! He's had two lots of Infacol and Metacam this morning and tummy massage, but I've had to come to work and leave him. He's got his Snuggle safe to sit with and hubby is looking after him, but he says he looks very sorry for himself, poor boy.
We have been through this before, but some healing vibes would be very much appreciated. Thank you...

Poor lad  Could hubby pop him straight to the Vet ? It's just that spring grass can cause a nasty bloat in some cases and that would need pretty prompt Veterinary attention. 'Just' pain relief may not suffice.

Lots of vibes being sent xx

Thank you, Jane. Yes, if there's no improvement soon he'll be going off to the vets.

I really hope he picks up soon. Metacam and Infacol (along with tummy rubs) work wonders in my experience :thumb:
