  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Dangerous Delilah...I knew one day something would happen.

Mrs. Bunnykins

Wise Old Thumper
Delilah my huge conti x is fearless and to prove it today, she tried to jump onto something far too high even for her. She fell down, shook herself off and hopped off. A few minutes later I noticed her licking her right back paw......she had broken her nail, but fortunately it hadn't gone down as far as the quick. She looked rather shocked that she wasn't ' invincible '............didn't last long before she was up to her usual bout of naughtiness!!!!!

Delilah is fine now.....I think her pride was hurt more than her nail.

*sings in my best Tom Jones tones*................ ' why, why, why Delilah'................... !!

Glad she is OK !!

Thanks Zoobec and Jane. xxx

I have never met such a big, bold, brash, boisterous, brave.......and beautiful bunny in my whole life. Oh Delilah......

Oh bless her! :lol::love:

She reminds me of my Max, he's SO clucsy and forever falling off things, knocking things onto himself or banging his head  I swear that boy must be made of lead

I'm glad Delilah is OK x

Delilah is like a tank......just bulldozes everything out of her way....including me!!!!!

These bunnies...........never a dull moment!!!!!

I have to laugh when some of mine run straight into me and then they give me such a look! Like who said you could do that!

Tee hee! Lopsy was even more exuberant about food yesterday and nearly fell off his plastic orange hidey-house (we call it The Turtle because he's too big for it and just turtles around in it like it's his tortoise shell XD): there was a lot of on-the-spot skidding after he'd got too close to the edge on trying to get a bit of cabbage and then a graceless plonk on the floor XD He's snapped a dewclaw on something too, probably overreaching and then trying to save himself from falling over  Maybe he's empathising with Delilah?!
